School Closure Notice

Dear Oxford School Families,

The Oxford School has decided to follow the recommendation of the Ministry of Education and Public Health experts to close schools until further notice. The school will notify parents when it plans to reopen. Our paramount priority is the health and safety of everyone who studies and works at The Oxford School. Please monitor your health for fever, cough and difficulty breathing. If you have symptoms, please call your family doctor or TeleHealth (1-866-797-0000) and they will provide advice on what to do. If you or your children are experiencing any of these signs remain home until symptom free.

The Oxford School will be following the prescribed learning strategy of remote learning.  All staff will be available remotely during school hours (8:30am to 3:30pm) under the normal school schedule. Teachers will be preparing lesson plans which will be delivered electronically to families over the course of the school closure. All instructions, prescribed learning material including all required resources will be sent home for your children to complete. Included will be opportunities to evaluate and assess as effectively as possible under this mode of instruction (journals, worksheets, photos, videos etc). Mr VanDeCappelle and Miss Van Haeren are also available to provide one on one support to those that require some additional help. Please let your class teacher know if you require some additional assistance for your child. This is a great opportunity to have some fun with e-learning, independent learning and creativity with your children at your leisure.
