George Friesen

Background

Mr. Friesen truly enjoys teaching kids, and this is obvious in his day to day involvement with students at WTS. He is passionate about experiential learning, athletics and outdoor education. George lives with his wife Judie and three kids; Zach, Hailey and Ty.
“My experiences have taught me tremendous lessons regarding student learning, as well as curriculum planning and writing in various subject areas.  My greatest accomplishment so far has been my own personal growth and understanding of the unparalleled value and effectiveness of team work.”

What is a fun/unexpected fact about you that no one knows?

"I love to sing! Mostly in the car when I am by myself :) I love to listen to live music.  People don't listen to enough live music these days!"

If you were a superhero, what would your powers be?

"If I could be a superhero with powers, the power I would choose is to fly. My youngest son and I have committed to sky dive when he is old enough. I suppose that is the closest I will get!"
